UPDATE: Man shot on Lagrange Ave. expected to survive
A man was shot at the intersection of Lagrange Avenue and Mettler Street in north Toledo on Friday morning, Toledo Police Sgt. Joe Heffernan confirmed.
Around 8:30 a.m., a passerby found the man on his hands and knees in the road. The man said he had been shot, so the passerby helped him out of the street and called 911.
Sgt. Heffernan said the victim was taken to a local hospital, where he is currently in critical condition.
The intersection is back open, but police are continuing their investigation.
