The S.W.A.T. Team made entry into the home of a man allegedly threatening suicide at about 3pm Friday.

Airport Highway was shut down between Albon and Holloway.

After negotiations failed, and police had not heard from the man for two hours, they decided to make entry into the home for fear of the man's safety.

According to police, the man was involved in a minor-injury car accident early Friday before the standoff started. He had been arrested and charged with OVI.

The man was released to his spouse about a half hour before the 911 call came in.
