ORIGINAL: Lucas County sheriff's deputies are at the scene of a standoff situation in the 8000 block of Airport Highway.
Authorities at the scene say that a man has barricaded himself inside a home. Police told our reporter that the man was earlier involved in a crash and arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was later released and his wife took him home, where he barricaded himself.
Police would not confirm whether or not the man had a weapon or if any other people were inside the home.
A family member who wished to remain anonymous said the man is in his 20s and has never exhibited signs of mental illness and never been in trouble with the law.
Police have shut down the road between Roycroft Drive and Albon Road.
