Jessica Chastain was the star of the weekend box office this weekend.
The horror film "Mama," starring Chastain as a women trying to raise her haunted nieces, won this weekend box office with just over 28 million dollars in ticket sales.
"Zero Dark Thirty" came in second place, pulling in 17 point six million dollars. Chastain just won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of a CIA operative in that film, about the hunt for Osama Bin Laden.
Another Golden Globe and Oscar nominee, "Silver Linings Playbook" rounded out the top three, with 11 point four million dollars in ticket sales.
