SYLVANIA -- At Orlander Park in Sylvania on Sunday, January 20th families came to learn about nature.

Educator Joyce Davis commented on the importance of children going outside, saying, "This is a huge deal, because we are trying to get children to go outside and turn the TV’s off and video games off and venture outside."

Children choose a book to read before watching a puppet show performed by Davis. Afterwards, the children made their own puppet.

Sunday marked the kick-off of a program called Readers Theater, where children are going to choose a book and perform the story. The performance will be in March at Orlander Park.
