BOWLING GREEN -- Bowling Green State University announced Friday it plans to lay off 100 positions with the university for the fall 2013 semester.
The university says the eliminated positions will come from attrition, retirements, and expiration of one year teaching contracts.
In a statement from provost Dr. Rodney Rogers, he says, "our priority is ensuring the success of our students, and we are constantly evaluating staffing to meet their needs and operate as efficiently as possible,"
Rogers adds, "this will not impact the quality of a BGSU education or a student's ability to graduate on time."
