WAUSEON -- UPDATE: The turnpike is back open this morning after being closed for a hazardous material spill.

OHP responded to a spill on the turnpike at mile marker 34 near Wauseon after a crash involving a semi truck and a pickup that was pulling a trailer last night.

According to reports, the driver of the semi was taken to a local hospital with a leg injury.  The driver of the pickup-flatbed was cited for slow speed and impeding traffic.

The trailer was packed with three-gallon containers of liquid fertilizer, which began leaking.
