A Columbia Gas spokesperson told WNWO that crews would begin restoring service, to nearly 90 customers, by 9:00 pm Monday night.

Around 6:00 p.m., Red Cross officials said they were first notified of the situation that threatened to leave residents living south of Woodlawn Cemetery in the cold.

Officials said that flooding caused the outage at an area where Columbia Gas has equipment near I-475. and W. Central.

The issue is expected to be resolved by the end of Monday night, on an evening where temperatures were expected to be in the upper teens.
