A quiet day on tap
The lull before the storm and some very nice weather is where we find ourselves today. Clouds will continue to stream into the region today - filtering the sunshine this morning and then lowering and thickening this afternoon. A light easterly breeze off a cold Lake Erie will supress high temps this afternoon to near 40 degrees for highs.
Soaking, widespread rains roll in overnight as a storm system heads our way. The rains get going this evening and will be heavy at times. We'll see some steady winds develop out of the southwest and that will keep temps nearly steady, in the upper 30's, throughout the night. The showers will taper off by mid-day Friday and it will become windy and much warmer. I think the clouds will hang tough for the most part - but highs will climb into the mid and upper 50's!
Saturday is definitely the pick of the weekend as we will see some sunshine and near record high temps, close to 30 degrees above normal, in the lower 60's! The record high - dating back to the late 1800's is 64 degrees. Enjoy the sunshine and warmth in spite of some blustery winds.
A big storm with another round of soaking rains heads our way Sunday and will usher in a return to winter, more seasonable weather, as soon as Monday when highs will barely get above the freezing mark.
Have a great day and make some plans for Saturday... outdoor Christmas lights are coming at my place.
