TOLEDO -- Amid rumors of a sale and brand switch, the Toledo Hilton Hotel is a Hilton no more.
According to The Blade, the hotel was dropped by the chain at midnight on Monday and the location has been removed from Hilton's corporate website. Customers can still book a room by calling the hotel directly, but cannot make reservations on Hilton.com or through its chain telephone system.
The owner's husband told the paper last week that they were in talks with investors to sell the hotel and possibly become a new DoubleTree location. Hilton is the parent company of DoubleTree.
