A new movement has taken off to honor the 26 people killed at a school in Newtown, Connecticut almost two weeks ago, and I wanted to share that with our WNWO viewers.

It began online with a simple idea: "Imagine if we all committed 20 acts of kindness to honor the lost children of Newtown." On Sunday, NBC News National and International Correspondent Ann Curry shared that suggestion on Twitter and Facebook, inviting everyone to join her.  The idea has evolved into a viral effort known as "26 Acts of Kindness," in honor of the students and faculty who died at Sandy Hook Elementary.

As of today, the hashtag "26acts" was trending on Twitter and a "26 Acts of Kindness" Facebook page had exceeded 86,000 likes.  To view that page, click here
