Starbucks' latest marketing move is raking in some big bucks for a lucky few.

Earlier this month, the coffee company sold 5,000 limited-edition stainless steel gift cards in a matter of minutes.  The cards sold for $450 a piece but were only loaded with $400 in Starbucks credit. 

The $50 price gap include membership in Starbucks' "Rewards Gold" program where card holders get access to special offers.

Some of those cards made their way on to eBay, one of which sold for $1074 on Saturday.
