SYLVANIA -- Children’s Wonderland began as a community holiday tradition in 1963 and returns for its forty-ninth season at Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter, located at 7060 Sylvania Ave.

This year’s Children’s Wonderland will feature an enhanced Interactive Zone, coloring, letters to Santa, The Anderson’s General Store, The Learning Express Toy store and much more.

Dozens of classic exhibits will be on display, train rides will be available, and an opportunity to take pictures with Santa.

Hours are from 11 a.m. to 7p.m. daily, until December 28. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children age 3 to 12, $2 for seniors and free for children 2 and under.

Christmas Eve hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is closed Christmas Day.

As for the future of Children’s Wonderland, Todd Butler, who helped organize the event, said, “as long as we keep getting good turnouts like this, we will keep putting it together and displaying it.”

Around 200 people are expected to attend each day.
