YPSILANTI -- The body of Julia Niswender, a 23 year old Eastern Michigan University Student was found around 9:30 Tuesday night inside in an off campus apartment .
News of the death has shocked many people including classmates of hers at EMU.
The school released a statement about her death, and students like Josh Parcha described her as a "hard-working colleague with a bubbly personality and clever ideas."
Another student Matthew Norfleet said "I cant help but to feel deeply saddened by the news that an accomplished and loving human being is no longer with us. Although we were never friends, we became family the moment Julia became a member of the EMU community and for that I will always be thankful."
A person with a great personality is how she's remembered at Monroe High School.
The 2008 graduate was on the yearbook staff and pep club.
She was set to graduate from EMU next year and dreamed of starting a career in TV news.
Ypsilanti police aren't saying how Niswender died, but say her death appears to be a homicide.
