Robbery suspected motive behind Central Toledo homicide

Police suspect robbery was the motive behind the fatal shooting of a man on Winfield Road. / Eric Wildstein

Robbery appears to be the motive behind the Glass City's 34th homicide of 2012.

Toledo police say the victim, 42-year-old Anthony Fizer, was shot and killed Monday night on Winfield Road near Cherry Street in central Toledo. They say Fizer had just returned home when two men tried to rob him, and eventually shot him.

No suspects have been named.
