Clouds & rain for days to come

Filtered sunshine is better than no sunshine at all - so grab what you can today as things turn messy for Friday, the weekend and beyond.

High clouds will filter the sunshine at times today as highs climb into the low and mid 40's, just slightly above normal.  The clouds will lower and thicken as we get into mid and late afternoon and that is a sign of things to come.

We will see scattered showers develop overnight as lows fall into the mid and upper 30's.  Get used to the rain as we will see more on your Friday morning before things dry out for a few hours during the afternoon.  It will be warmer with highs jumping into the upper 40's.

For the weekend  expect more scattered showers Saturday and more widespread rains on Sunday.  Highs will remain on the mild side with highs in the mid 40's both afternoons and overnight lows on either side of 40.

Next week starts out on the damp side with some scattered showers Monday, possibly mixing with some wet snow flakes during the afternoon.  We should see some clearing Monday night as colder air moves in and settles in for most of next week as we trend cooler with highs sinking into the 30's.
