Latest local news, weather and high school sports for Toledo area

After highs in the 60's yesterday we were still warm this morning with upper 50's at sunrise - but that is all about to go good-bye.  A powerful cold front moves across the region today.  With the front we will see some soaking rains from mid-morning through mid-afternoon.  As the cold front moves east the rain goes with it and we will see colder air filter in on blustery west winds gusting to 25 mph.  Skies will begin to clear towards evening and temps will continue to fall through the 50's and into the mid 40's.

Overnight we will see skies clear and it will grow cold with lows falling to near 30 degrees by sunrise.  Tuesday will be sunny and cold with highs struggling to get up to 40 degrees.  Wednesday will offer more of the same with plenty of sunshine and highs in the lower 40's.

Friday we get into another change in air masses as a frontal boundry moves in and creates a messy weather pattern that will stay with us into the beginning of next week.  We will warm things up with sacttered showers Friday and highs into the mid 40's.  For the weekend highs get into the lower 50's both Saturday and Sunday and it looks like we have a good shot at some healthy rains through the weekend and well into next week.
