REED TWP -- Five people have been confirmed dead after a house fire in Seneca County early Tuesday morning.

Two bodies were found after the blaze destroyed the home at 13843 Township Road 124 in Reed Township. Authorities searched into the afternoon for two others believed to have been inside home, near the village of Republic, at the time of the fire.

The Blade reports that two adults and three children lived in the house, but their identities have not been released. The children were 6, 8, and 12-years-old.

A fire department spokesman told the AP that a truck driver reported the fire after spotting smoke from the house around 3 a.m.
