15-year-old charged with shooting teen in leg, firing at officer

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on charges of felonious assault for shooting a teen in the leg and trading gunfire with a Toledo police officer on Thanksgiving night.

According to the police report, officers were sent to 532 Nicholas St. around 7:30 p.m. on a report of a person shot. Tyreece Richardson, 17, was struck once in the hip.

A crew of responding officers spotted a teen that matched the suspect's description and began to chase him on foot. During the pursuit, Toledo police report that the suspect, Titus Crittendon, fired at an officer and that the officer returned fire. No one was struck during the exchange.

Crittendon was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit and the weapon was recovered.
