WASHINGTON D.C. -- Now that the Christmas Season is ‘officially’ underway, what better way to send a letter this Christmas than with a special postmark.

Locally, we are lucky with Rudolph, Ohio right down the road. People all over send letters to be postmarked with the famous reindeer mark.

If you want to go a little further north and have a letter postmarked from the North Pole, your window of opportunity is still open; but not for long.

The North Pole postmark is something the U-S Postal Service offers every year. It allows holiday letters and cards to be stamped with "Santa" as the sender, which is great for the little ones.

To take advantage, you need to place the card or letter from Santa in its envelope with the appropriate first class mail stamp. You should also have the return address as "SANTA, NORTH POLE".

Place the card in a larger envelope with the correct postage and address it to North Pole Postmark Postmaster, 41-41 Postmark Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 9-9-5-3-0. The deadline is Monday, December 10th.

There are 48 post offices across the Country with holiday related names.
