TOLEDO -- The Lucas County Coroner says the grandmother, uncle and three children found dead inside a West Toledo garage on Monday died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Police say notes found in the home indicate Sandy Ford and Andy Ford planned to kill themselves and the children over a custody dispute with their parents.

Investigators and family friends say the murder-suicide appears to stem from a family disagreement over where the children should live.

The children had been living with their grandmother the past three years. Their mother decided recently to bring all the children back home.

Funeral arrangements have been made for Paige Hayes, Logan Hayes and Madalyn Hayes. Visitation is Saturday from 4pm to 8pm and Sunday from 1pm to 8pm at Dowling Funeral Home located at 7509 New West Rd in Sylvania. Funeral services are Monday at 11am at Olivet Luthern Church at 5840 Monroe Street .
