UPDATE: After following a number of leads about the alleged kidnapping of a 24-year-old woman, police located the victim and suspect in Paulding County around 12 a.m. Tuesday.

Natalie McCoy was found safe and is now with relatives, according to police. Giberto Villarreal, Jr., 27, was arrested by Paulding County authorities on a warrant for the aggravated burglary of 56 Sunnydale Lane on Monday. No other charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation into the suspected kidnapping is ongoing.

 

ORIGINAL REPORT: Napoleon police dispatch confirms authorities have made an arrest related to the alleged abduction of a 24-year-old woman on Monday.

Natalie McCoy was believed to have been taken against her will by 27-year-old Giberto Villarreal, Jr., according to police. Officers began investigating the case around 12 p.m. when they received reports of shots fired at a mobile home on Sunnydale Lane in the Valley Brook Estates.

The two were believed to be in a 2001 Gold Chevy Impala with Ohio license plate ESN 2626.

Dispatch confirmed police made an arrest last night, but could not identify the person in custody or the victim. Further information about the arrest is expected to be released Tuesday morning.
