The Veterans Day celebrations continue Monday in Northwest Ohio with several events and specials:
Veterans Appreciation Breakfast
The eighth annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast and resource fair at the University of Toledo will be from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at UT's Savage Arena and Veterans' plaza. The event is free and open to all veterans and their families.
Senior Star
Senior Star at West Park Place will host special events throughout the day, including a ceremony to honor all veterans, an All American Lunch and VA Benefit Seminar. The events are open to the public and begin at 8:30 a.m. with a free pancake breakfast.
AmVets Post 21 POW/MIA
In Findlay, two of Hancock County's living World War II former prisoners of war will be honored at the AmVets Post 21 POW/MIA at 12 p.m., located at 423 Trenton Ave in Findlay. The ceremony is open to the public, with a free lunch for all veterans.
Texas Roadhouse
Veterans can also enjoy a free lunch today at Texas Roadhouse. From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., every Texas Roadhouse location across the country will participate in the free lunch event. All veterans must provide proof of service and the offer does not include spouses or other family members.
Kickin Mule Car Wash
Need a car wash? Veterans and active military can get a free wash at Kickin Mule Car Wash in Toledo and Temperance, Mich. The offer lasts 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.
