BOWLING GREEN -- A Michigan couple is behind bars in Wood County after a drug bust on I-75 in Bowling Green.

State troopers pulled their vehicle over last month for speeding.

They smelled pot coming from the car and searched the vehicle.

That's when they found more than 650 prescription pills and about seven grams of marijuana.

Vincent Edge and Laricca Hicks were taken into custody.

They were charged with two counts of possession of drugs, and one count of trafficking of drugs, all are second-degree felonies.

If convicted, each could face up to 24 years in prison and up to a $45,000 fine.
