East Coast flights being cancelled due to storm

NEW YORK -- Another storm, another headache for air travelers on the east coast.
Major airlines are cancelling flights in and out of the New York area ahead of the second significant storm in little more than a week.
The world's largest airline, United, is suspending most service to New York starting at noon today due to a Nor'easter (named Athena by The Weather Channel) forecast to impact the region. It warns that bad weather will likely cause more delays and cancellations throughout the Northeast.
American Airlines is shutting down in New York at 3 p.m. today. It's also stopping flights to and from Philadelphia at noon.
Most other airlines, including Delta Air Lines Inc. and JetBlue Airways Corp., are asking passengers to reschedule their Northeast flights for a later date. They're waiving the usual change fees of up to $150.
Superstorm Sandy last week led to about 24,000 flight cancellations.
If you have plans to fly to the east coast, you might want to reschedule. Airlines highly recommend that you call ahead to make sure your flight is still scheduled.
