PERRYSBURG -- Sandy has not dampened the will of some for a chance at free food for a year.

So far this morning nearly 60 people are braving the wet, damp, windy and cold conditions to line up at the new stand-alone Chick-Fil-A restaurant opening tomorrow in Perrysburg.

The reason, the first 100-hundred people in line by 6 AM Thursday will receive free food for an entire year. Each person will get 52 free Chick-Fil-A meal certificates to use for the next year.

The crowd includes local residents as well as people who drove from outside that area. Soon you will see tents, chairs and other items set up for camping out over night.

Chick-Fil-A is providing security, access to restrooms and plenty of Chick-Fil-A to eat. It is also providing a DJ to host dancing and games tonight before a late night ice cream sundae party.

So if you are willing to brave the current weather conditions, there are still a few more spots open.

The Perrysburg restaurant is located at 10315 Fremont Pike.
