SANDUSKY -- The first pieces of Cedar Point's new roller coaster are arriving at the Sandusky amusement park.

Parts of the Gatekeeper's light blue track got there Tuesday.   The world's number one amusement park says many more pieces are to follow in the coming weeks and months.

The new winged roller coaster will be the longest of its kind in the world and will boast the longest drop of any winged coaster on the planet.

The new ride will be built where the old Disaster Transport and Space Spiral used to be.

Gatekeeper will make its debut in May of 2013.

You can view more construction photos and learn more about the Gatekeeper by checking out Cedar Point's website.
