School bus crash in Monroe

MONROE -- Seven elementary school students in Monroe are recovering after the school bus they were riding in was rear ended Monday morning.

Police say the bus was stopped at a railroad crossing just before 9am at West Elm Avenue and Toll Street when he was hit.

The children were taken to Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe as a precaution.

The car driver suffered minor injuries.
