PUTNAM COUNTY -- Strong winds have knocked out power to several homes and businesses in Putnam County.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, many of the people affected are in the northern and northwestern part of the county. The Sheriff's office adds several utility poles were knocked down due to the winds, but say power companies are working to repair and restore power in that area.
