GROTON TWP., OHIO -- Crews are cleaning up State Route 4 after a Freightliner truck loaded with pumpkins and squash overturned early Wednesday.

According to the Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the utility trailer was traveling south on S.R. 4 just before 1 a.m. when it drove off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and then crashed into a wooden electrical utlitiy pole. The vehicle came to rest on its right side in the ditch.

The driver and passenger, who was sleeping in the trailer's sleeper berth at the time of the crash, were not injured. The trailer sustained moderate damage.

Troopers report alcohol was not a factor in the crash. S.R. 4 was closed earlier this morning while troopers worked to remove the Freightliner from the ditch.
