ECORSE, MICHIGAN -- A Detroit-area woman who collected welfare, despite winning a $735,000 lottery prize was found dead inside her home Saturday morning.

Police say Amanda Clayton died of a possible drug overdose. The 24-year-old pleaded no contest to fraud charges in June. She was sentenced to six-months probation and her attorney said she repaid $5,500 in welfare benefits.
