SYLVANIA -- A Northwest Ohio family has a made a public plea for information on a missing woman.

Sylvania Township Police are working with the authorities in Indiana to locate 59-year-old Kathy Sackrider of Orland, IN.

The grandmother was last seen In Sylvania while visiting her sister-in-law and a family friend on the evening of September 18th.

This week, a break in the case has lead Sackrider's family to believe she might still be in Lucas County.

"(Police) found (her) truck yesterday in Sylvania so it doesn't look like she's gone back in to Indiana," Sackrider's sister-in-law Linda Baranck said.

Sackrider's family says her truck, a 2003 Blue Chevy Silverado with a Red Wings logo on the back, was found a mile and a half to 2 miles away from where she was last seen.

Her loved ones worry that she may be walking around lost and is not answering her cell phone.

"This is completely out of character for Kathy she's dependable, she communicates, she's awesome,” family friend Kathie Borek said.

Borek adds, “She visits her daughter all the time and she drives from there to her home."

Sackrider is described as 5'5" and weighs around 160 lbs.

If you have any information on where she might be you're asked to call 911 or 419-789-2115.
