TOLEDO -- A Bedford High School Spanish teacher has been caught up in the middle of the huge magic mushroom growing operation in Toledo.

38-year-old Sara Thierry is facing charges of trafficking, manufacturing and possessing drugs as well as tampering with evidence.

According to court documents, Thierry helped prepare the drugs for shipment, helped cultivate them and then tried to get rid of the evidence.

Local authorities seized more than 130 pounds of mushrooms from several properties owned in some part by Thierry's husband, Matthew.

She has been placed on leave by the Bedford School District and posted bond today.
