BOWLING GREEN -- Congressional candidate Angela Zimman joined Bowling Green students Tuesday in advance of President Obama's visit to Bowling Green.

Zimman and Obama supporters rallied at the OFA-OH Bowling Green Headquarters on Court Street to welcome the president's visit to Bowling Green. President Obama is scheduled to speak at the Stroh Center Wednesday at 1 p.m. All tickets to the event have been handed out.

Zimman said Tuesday, "College students are absolutely engaged, and they should be because this is their future." She continued, "More than ever college students are realizing that what happens in the White House, what happens in Washington D.C. and the House of Representatives, and in Congress, has a direct impact upon them with the Pell Grant funding and the student loan rates."

Education and health care are two such issues that BGSU student Emily Garcia values. Garcia told WNWO, "I just think it's really important for everyone to have access to free healthcare." She added, "Alot of the student are first time voters and it's really important to just share all of Obama's plans and what he's planning on doing for us as college students."

President Obama will highlight his vision for moving America forward on Wednesday. He will speak about his plan to restore the middle class, education, creating jobs and growing the economy over the long-term. The President will also encourage early voting, which begins October 2nd, and registering to vote prior to the October 9th deadline in Ohio.
