SANDUSKY -- The Sandusky man accused of killing a mother and her two children was indicted by an Erie County grand jury on Wednesday.

Investigators say Curtis Clinton, 41, killed a 23-year-old woman, Heather Jackson, and her children, 3-year-old Celina and 18-month-old Wayne, inside the family's Sandusky home on John Street two weeks ago.

Clinton was indicted on five counts of aggravated murder, three counts of rape and one count of aggravated burglary. According to The Blade, one count of rape is for the alleged sexual assault of the 3-year-old girl. The other two counts of rape are unrelated to the homicide case.

If convicted, Clinton could face the death penalty.
