PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- UPDATE: WNWO spoke exclusively  Mitt Romney as he fights to win the Buckeye State during a campaign stop at Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio on Friday.

I was given a five minute window where we could question the Republican presidential nominee.

I asked him about his statements to "let Detroit go into bankruptcy."

I asked him about gay marriage and abortion.

Lastly, I asked him about universal healthcare and if he would repeal it or change it.

Previous Story:

Romney is no stranger to the battleground state. Just Monday, he spoke to factory workers in Mansfield with Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

The Associated Press reports Romney is trying to shift his campaign focus back to the economy, promising to crack down on China and create 12 million new jobs by the end of his first term.

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. for the rally, which is expected to begin at 2:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but you must register for tickets online first. You can secure up to eight tickets at http://romneypainesville.eventbrite.com.

No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids or signs are allowed in the venue, but cameras are permitted. Lake Erie College is located at 391 West Washington Street.

Romney will attend the rally without his vice presidential running mate, Paul Ryan, as he will be campaigning in Virginia at the same time.

Our reporter's notebook is open... What would you ask Mitt Romney if you could sit down with him one-on-one?
