MONROE, MI -- The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has arrested murder suspect, 23-year-old Tyler Watson.
This morning, around 1:30 a.m., the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 2800 Block of North Monroe Street in Monroe, Michigan. Once inside, they found Watson in a bedroom, along with an adult female who was renting the apartment. There were three minor children inside the apartment who were asleep at the time of the arrest.
Watson was wanted for the shooting of 20-year-old Nicolas Linke, who was found shot near a crashed car in the 1900 block of Ontario in Toledo around 10:40 p.m. Saturday. He later died at a local hospital.
Watson is being held in the Monroe County Jail to await extradition.
