(AP) -- It wasn’t your ordinary police chase. Police in Billings Montana had a runaway cow in the middle of downtown Billings. During the hour and a half chase a local construction worker tried to help police coral the cow.
What he got for his good deed was a cow charging at him and throwing him into the air. Morgan Logan ended up with broken bones in his leg and a few sore ribs. Logan said. “I’ve been around livestock my whole life, so at first sight I thought it was pretty funny seeing cops chase a cow down the street, but she was like a bull at a rodeo.”
A police spokesman said they tried to handle the situation as humanly a possible. The cow was taken to a local landfill after being put down.
