The Lucas County Sanitary Engineer issued a water advisory for the area North of Central Avenue in Sylvania Township starting tonight at 10.

Customers are being impacted by a water shut off for work on a water main. The water will be off for 4 hours from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

As a precaution they want residents to boil their drinking water and water for cooking for at least 1 minute for the rest of the week until 10 a.m. on Friday.

Advisories have already been placed on peoples doors for those in Sylvania township that are being affected. Anyone with any questions is asked to call the Sanitary Engineers office at (419)-213-2926.

This is expected to affect around 200 customers.
