TOLEDO -- You may have forgotten or even thought it would never happen, but today, city crews began demolishing the old Highland Park Pool.

The pool was closed for five years before the city decided to demolish it after facing problems with vandals and thieves stealing the plumbing.

But Highland Park is not the only Toledo pool that may be torn down--The city is also considering demolishing several other closed pools because the maintenance costs are too expensive and vandalism persists.
