SANDUSKY, OH -- Authorities have arrested a Sandusky man in connection to a death of a 3-year-old.

Sandusky Police were dispatched to 521 Fulton Street to assist fire and EMS on a call. On scene, officers learned that a 3-year old boy sustained injuries to the back of the head and was transported to Fireland’s Regional Medical Center.

A short time after arrival to the hospital, the child passed away. Official reports state that the child had visible injuries to his head, neck and back.

Michael Milner, 24, was in care of the child at the time of injury. He claimed that the child received the injuries from tripping and hitting his head on a plastic toy. Sandusky Police say that his statements were not consistent with his story.

Milner was arrested and booked into Erie County Jail on a felony count of endangering children and held without bond.
