The Ohio State Fair kicks off at 9 a.m. on Wednesday and there's a slew of new attractions, including a new job for the Butter Cow.
The Butter Cow is the fair's official social media messenger this year and will tweet and update Facebook from the fair. Butter Cow will be promoting not only the new butter sculpture at the fair, but also highlighting all of the great things about Ohio’s dairy community.
Social media users are encouraged to follow @OHDairyFarmers on Twitter, and "like" Ohio Dairy Farmers on Facebook to follow the Butter Cow's updates.
Also new this year, fried cheese sandwiches, African acrobats and 'Ohio Idol' contest.
The fair runs from Wednesday until Aug. 5 at the Ohio Fairgrounds in Columbus.
