Two years after it was destroyed by a deadly EF4 tornado, the new Lake High School is finally complete.

Classes begin in six weeks and administrators and staff have begun to move in. An open house for the new school is being held Sunday, Aug. 5 for students and parents to view the state of the art building.

The $25.5 million dollar facility was built with a combination of insurance money and a grant from the Ohio School Facilities Commission.

"It's a gift. A gift that no one asked for but we should embrace it as a gift," said Tim Crough, President of the Lake School Board.

The new building will have a tribute to the seven victims who lost their lives in the June 5, 2010 tornado.
