After suffering severe injuries during a Lake Township crash on Tuesday, a 14-year-old girl passed away on Wednesday.

Ohio State Highway Patrol in Bowling Green confirmed Samantha June died after the SUV she riding in went off the right side of the road and struck a tree along Tracy Road between Walbridge and State Route 795.

Four others, including an infant and two teens, were also injured in the crash. According to The Blade, 15-year-old Paige Lindhurst and the driver, 23-year-old Brittanee Koontz, are still listed in critical condition at an area hospital.

Police believe Lindhurst and June were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The newspaper also reports the infant and other 15-year-old injured during the crash, Sierra Brewer, are in fair condition after the crash.

Family and friends held a vigil for June at Oakdale Elementary School on Wednesday night.
