CASS TWP. -- During the morning commute, a Jeep went airborne and struck a gas line marker poll and two trees after traveling off S.R. 12 in Cass Township on Monday morning.

According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, the driver, 41-year-old Lori Urbanowicz, was traveling east when she went left of center off the left side of the roadway.

The vehicle traveled through a ditch, between two gas line marker poles and then struck another ditch. The Jeep went airborne, striking a gas line marker pole and two trees before rolling twice and coming to a rest.

Urbanowicz was transported to an area hospital by Life Flight. Her condition is unknown.

The driver was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash and had to be extricated from the vehicle. The crash remains under investigation and no citations have been issued at this time.
