Latest local news, weather and high school sports for Toledo area

TOLEDO -- Toledo has been ranked in many surveys and lists over the years.  And many of them have put the glass city in a negative light.

But now, Toledoans have something to thump their chests about.

According to a new study released by Bert Sperling and Combos Pretzel Snacks, Toledo is the manliest city in Ohio and the 8th manliest city in the nation.

Oklahoma City ranks first, followed by Columbia, South Carolina, Memphis, Nashville and Birmingham.

Cleveland is the second manliest city in Ohio and Cincinnati is the third.

The survey looked at factors such as the number of professional sports teams, popularity of power tools, frequency of monster truck rallies and the number of home improvement stores and motorcycle sales.
