Monroe police are investigating a murder that occurred on the city's east side Sunday morning.
According to police, a man was found on the porch of a family friend's house bleeding from his head.
He was transported to an area hospital, where he later died. His name has not yet been released.
The investigation has been turned over to the detective bureau of the Monroe Police Department.
