TOLEDO -- There were many Memorial Day ceremonies across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.  One of them was at Resurrection Cemetery in South Toledo.  Veterans from American Legion Post 553 placed American flags at selected grave markers and laid a wreath at a memorial plaque on the cemetery grounds. Clyde Hollingsworth's father served in the Navy during World War II.  "They had a wonderful ceremony today, and I had the opportunity to speak with some of the veterans who participated in the ceremony and I thanked them for paying homage to all of those who have died for this country," Mr. Hollingsworth said.

The US Flag Code stipulates that on Memorial Day flags should fly at half-mast until noon.
