Local doctor accused of sexual assault

MONROE COUNTY -- According to the Toledo Blade, a Michigan psychiatrist was arraigned on Thursday for two counts of criminal sexual conduct.

58-year-old Dr. Abdullahi Mohamed, of Dearborn Heights, is accused of sexually assaulting a patient over the weekend.

Mohamed, who is a doctor at Mercy Memorial Hospital, was ordered held on $100,000 bond during his hearing in Monroe County District Court.

Authorities say the 26-year-old female victim told Michigan State Police that the alleged assault happened at the doctor's Stewart Road office on Saturday.
