VERMILION TWP. -- Ohio State Highway Patrol, out of Sandusky, is investigating a two-vehicle crash that left one man dead on Wednesday morning.

Officials say the accident, which included a motorcycle, happened around 10:30 a.m. along SR 60 between Trinter Road and Mason Road.

61-year-old Paul Hering of Vermilion was ejected from his Harley during the crash and died at the scene.

Authorities believe 21-year-old Rebecca Schroyer was driving a PT Cruiser behind Hering and failed to stop as he was turning into a private driveway.

Investigators have not said if Schroyer will face any charges but did say she was not injured.

It's also unknown if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the accident.
